DMCA Policy

Oyster respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. This DMCA Policy describes how to submit copyright claims and counter-notifications.
1. Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe content on Oyster infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent including:
- Your full name and contact information (email, address, phone).
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the infringing material (URL(s) on Oyster).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Counter-Notification
If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe it was removed in error, you may send a counter-notification including:
- Your name and contact information.
- Identification of the removed content and its prior location (URL).
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
- Consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your location (or an appropriate jurisdiction if outside the U.S.).
- Your physical or electronic signature.
3. Repeat Infringers
In appropriate circumstances, Oyster may terminate accounts of repeat infringers and/or remove content.
