Community Guidelines

Oyster is a platform for travel storytelling. These Community Guidelines apply to all content and activity on Oyster. They exist to keep creators and viewers safe, maintain trust, and ensure the platform remains enjoyable.

Violations may result in content removal, reduced distribution, account restrictions, or termination.

1. Be Safe and Respectful

  • No harassment, bullying, threats, or targeted abuse.
  • No hateful content based on protected characteristics.
  • No doxxing or sharing private personal information.
  • No impersonation or deceptive identity claims.

2. No Illegal or Dangerous Activity

  • No promotion of illegal activity, including trafficking or fraud.
  • No instructions that facilitate violence or wrongdoing.
  • No content that incites or glorifies violence.

3. Adult and Sensitive Content

Oyster may restrict or remove content containing explicit sexual content, graphic violence, or shocking imagery. We may apply age-gating or visibility limits where supported.

4. Copyright and Intellectual Property

Only upload content you own or have permission to use. Repeated infringement may result in account termination. See our DMCA Policy for details.

5. Spam and Platform Integrity

  • No spam, misleading metadata, or manipulative engagement tactics.
  • No fake accounts or artificial traffic.
  • No scams or deceptive promotions.

6. Enforcement

We may remove or restrict content and accounts at our discretion to protect users, comply with law, or enforce these Guidelines. Enforcement actions may include warnings, quarantine/reduced visibility, removal, or suspension.
